Matthew 11:25-27 Nobody Comes to the Father, Except through Jesus Christ

At that time Jesus said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight. All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.

If one thinks about the ministries of the apostle Paul and the ministries of Peter, James, and John, why do you suppose that they were willing to die for Jesus when the rest of the world was willing to crucify him? It is because they saw the Exalted Jesus Christ face to face. Paul encountered him on the road to Damascus and the three disciples were witnesses to the transfiguration on that mountain. Once they saw him as he really is, their lives were changed. Now the disciples were not scholars, but common fishermen, but the ones with schooling who are the Pharisees, claimed to know God and did not. If they had known God, they would have also known the Son, and knowing him would have fought to the death for him and never hung him on the cross. Therefore come to Jesus, because nobody can reveal God to man unless they come through the Son.

Daily Prayer: Father, I thank you for the gift of the Son and my knowledge of Him. Now create in me the desire and ability to serve him as a common man serves a king.

But this is no ordinary king, but instead the King of Kings. In his name I pray Amen.
