Mark 13:14-23 Abomination of Desolation

“But when you see the abomination of desolation standing where it should not be (let the reader understand), then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. The one who is on the housetop must not go down, or go in to get anything out of his house; and the one who is in the field must not turn back to get his coat. But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! But pray that it may not happen in the winter. For those days will be a time of tribulation such as has not occurred since the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will. Unless the Lord had shortened those days, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect, whom He chose, He shortened the days. And then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ’; or, ‘Behold, He is there’; do not believe him; for false Christ’s and false prophets will arise, and will show signs and wonders, in order to lead astray, if possible, the elect. But take heed; behold, I have told you everything in advance.

In the Later Days, the seven year period before the return of Jesus, Satan, the serpent of old, will be given his sway on earth. The Restrainer of evil, the Holy Spirit, will withdraw from earth so that Satan’s activity will go uncontested, but only for seven years. The church will be removed from the earth as they, like the Holy Spirit, are also a restrainer against evil. Satan will declare himself as god, as his primary activity has always been trying to gain God’s glory. Many who were not saved during the period of grace will now seek Jesus, but in order to be saved, they must persist until the end of the seven year period with the return of Jesus.

Daily Prayer: Holy Father, people can be very stubborn, even to their own harm. Now, the period of grace, is the time to seek Jesus and is not to time to seek the world. A time is coming when reaching Jesus will be very difficult, even at the expense of our life. Let us then wake up and reach out to You while You are near. In Jesus name I pray Amen.
