Philippians 2:5-11 He who is first will be last and the last first.

Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The verses here are cornerstone verses for your prayer life. When you pray, first empty yourself of all of what you bring to prayer. Let the daily concerns fall from your mind like water being poured out on a table. Whatever your personal troubles are or even your desires or triumphs, just let them fall to the floor, because your Father already knows your wants, needs, and desires. God's language is silence. Be silent before your God and allow Him to speak to you. If you feel the wants, needs, and desires coming back, think of a holy or sacred word and think only of that, and then return to silence so that God can have His way with you.

Daily Prayer: My Father, it is indeed hard to keep silent, but that is what I will do. I trust you to do more with me in my silence than I would ever ask for in my asking. So let it be according to Your will. In Jesus name I pray Amen.
