Luke 18:15-17 Living the Faith of a Child

And they were bringing even their babies to Him so that He would touch them, but when the disciples saw it, they began rebuking them.  But Jesus called for them, saying, “Permit the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.  Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.”
The problem with many adults is that they want to be Christians, but do not trust in Jesus in the same manner as a child.  A child does not try to solve their own problems, because they know they have a mother and an father.  But adult Christians, though they believe in Jesus, do not trust Him which is evidenced in their trying to work things out for themselves instead of depending on Jesus’ care alone.  If we could go back in time when we were children, if we could, we would find that all things work together for good for those who Love Jesus and trust Him according to their needs.
Daily Prayer:  Lord Jesus, this is why we must surrender to your will.  Unless we do, we will have to agendas, ours and yours, when there is only room for yours.  Help us to come to this point to let go and let God.  In Your holy name I pray Amen.
