Luke 13:34-35 The Second Coming of Jesus

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, just as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not have it!  Behold, your house is left to you desolate; and I say to you, you will not see Me until the time comes when you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’”

In these verses, it tells how Jesus has longed to bring the Jewish people unto Himself, they they refused.  God called them a rebellious people and a stiff-necked people.  Jesus longs to glorify the City of God, but people will not believe unless they are drawn.  Therefore He predicts that Jerusalem will be left desolate until He returns in glory.

Daily Prayer:  Lord Jesus, Your people have rejected you and the gospel demands that people accept Your message and You.  Therefore draw people to Yourself and bless my evangelism efforts to bring people to you so that it brings honor to the City of God.  In Your holy name I pray Amen.
