Luke 19:45-48 Traders Driven from the Temple

Jesus entered the temple and began to drive out those who were selling,  saying to them, “It is written, ‘And My house shall be a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a robbersden.” And He was teaching daily in the temple; but the chief priests and the scribes and the leading men among the people were trying to destroy Him,  and they could not find anything that they might do, for all the people were hanging on to every word He said.
One rule concerning the rule of Satan is that whoever He can not tempt, deceive, or act outside of the will of God, he will destroy.  Here it is evident that Jesus Christ is who He says He is, who is the Son of God.  When Satan could not deceive him into a sin, he plots through those who are his own (the chief priests and the scribes) to destroy Jesus.  What he did not count on is that through the Cross, Jesus would save many through His atoning blood and reign victorious over sin, death, and the devil.  It was the Cross, which Satan planned for the purposes of evil, to be used by God for the purposes of good.  This is because all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to his purposes.
Daily Prayer:  Father, in Your infinite wisdom, You have found a way suitable to You to reconcile us back to You.  What Satan means for harm, You use for good, to demonstrate Your wisdom and goodness to the world.  In Jesus name I pray Amen.
