When He approached Jerusalem , He saw
the city and wept over it, saying, “If you had known in this day, even you, the things which make for
peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes. For
the days will come upon you when your enemies will throw up a barricade against
you, and surround you and hem you in on every side, and
they will level you to the ground and your children within you, and they will
not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not recognize the time
of your visitation.”
Isn't it a tragedy that when the Prince of
Peace come unto us, He was not recognized and thus rejected? There was the Prince among us, but instead
we chose violence and manners of self-defeat.
Concerning those days, we now say, “How foolish they were.” But even now, the Prince is knocking at the
door. We are concerned about many things
and forget to answer to door. Now we are
the foolish ones! It is not to late to
learn from our error. When we turn
around and toward Christ Jesus, it is called repentance and our only source for
life. Therefore let us revive our souls and return to Him. Amen.
Daily Prayer: Create is me a new and revived heart. Do not leave me to my own wisdom, but instead
give me Your wisdom so that I can have eyes that can see, ears that can hear,
and a heart that can understand. In
Jesus name I pray Amen.
