Romans 8: 26-28 Our Victory in Christ

In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groaning too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.

In Jesus earthly ministry, his disciples asked him to teach them how to pray. Jesus taught them a model prayer, which we still use today. In my time, the saint has the Holy Spirit forming his prayers and interceding for them to God Most High. Jesus also intercedes for those who have come to trust in him, so we have two persons of the Godhead bringing our petitions to the Father. By having our prayers fashioned in such a way as to be "holy words" when they are received, we can confidently say that "all things work together for good." The role of intercession is that it takes the heart, or the spirit of man, and connects it to the Spirit of God so that He not only can, but will rescue you in your time of need.

Daily Prayer: Father, in my life I have had a number of desert experiences. That is to say, times when I felt parched and in need of deliverance. Let me say that great is your faithfulness in bringing me deliverance not only in hours of need, but in times of plenty. This I pray in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord Amen.
