2 Corinthians 10: 1-6 the Battle is the Lord's

Now I, Paul, myself urge you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ—I who am meek when face to face with you, but bold toward you when absent! I ask that when I am present I need not be bold with the confidence with which I propose to be courageous against some, who regard us as if we walked according to the flesh. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete.

Adam is the evidence that humankind is not fit for spiritual warfare. Only in Christ, are people able to like in the midst of the danger of the world. If the world had its way, it would utterly destroy the Jews and the Christians because they belong to the Most High. Christ won the victory on the cross overcoming death and the devil so that those who take refuge in Him would live and be a part of Him. It is because of our total dependence on Him that we live humbly before our God, taking refuge in His strength and finding safety in the sea of trouble.

Daily Prayer: It is as Jesus said, "into your hands I commit my spirit." This is my decision for you Father. I cannot live apart from you, but with you, all things are possible. Let me live in accordance with this truth. In Jesus name I pray Amen.
