Mark 10:13-16 Jesus Blesses Little Children

And they were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, “Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.” And He took them in His arms and began blessing them, laying His hands on them.

In the realm of human righteousness, a sinner becomes righteous by belief. From the time we are children, we know not how, we only know that. In other words, we do not know how our parents will provide; only that they will provide and we believe it. As a child, we spend no time worrying if the bacon will be put on the table and trouble will stay away from our door because we know that our parents feed us and protect us and that’s it. In the same way, Jesus is telling the child of God, that God is able to anything He wills, so worry not if He is able, because He is. Nothing is hard for God.

Daily Prayer: Holy Father, we worry because we are sinners. If we were truly in the inner-circle of Your family, we would recognize the glory and splendor and might of our Father, but too often we remain apart from the family and try to test our fragile wings. So lead us not into self-trust and deliver us from evil. Your’s is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory forever Amen.
