And Jesus, looking around, said to His disciples, “How hard it will be for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!” The disciples were amazed at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” They were even more astonished and said to Him, “Then who can be saved?” Looking at them, Jesus said, “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.”
Have you ever heard the saying, “It’s a God-thing?” Salvation is like that. No human apart from Jesus can cause salvation to occur in the human heart. Apart from Jesus, people have an incurable situation concerning personal sin. Thanks be to God and the Son of God who have made a way where there was no way! Now, Jesus Christ satisfies God in holiness and righteousness and all those who identify with Jesus have their sins forgiven and inherit eternal life. Nothing is impossible for God.
Daily Prayer: Father, we thank you for making for us a way where we otherwise had no escape. Let me now spend my time telling of the grace of God to those who still need to hear. In Jesus name I pray Amen.
