Galatians 1: 1-9 Cursed by the one who preaches another form of gospel

Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead— 2 and all the brothers and sisters with me, To the churches in Galatia: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse! Paul had preached the gospel of Jesus Christ which is Christ's life, death, and resurrection from the dead as man's only offer for salvation when this life is done. Yet some people, outside of Paul's presence were introducing another kind of gospel based on their own work apart from Christ. Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ makes it clear. To those who add to or take away from the True Gospel, this man shall be cursed! Paul validates his authority as being called by Christ to preach the gospel to the gentiles, but there were still some unconvinced Jews who sought to undermine faith by declaring a gospel that was not wholly dependent on Jesus and those persons will be judged with a Royal judgment that will cost them their soul. He exhorts people to cling to the truth and not to back-slide into judgment. Daily Prayer: Lord Jesus, our salvation depends on our faith in you alone, apart from any work of our own to have eternal life. Convince the hears of this message to know and understand this so that they may live with you instead of perish. In your holy name I pray Amen.
