“But immediately after the tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory. And He will send forth His angels with A GREAT TRUMPET and THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
After those dark years when Satan dominates the earth in a period of Great Tribulation the True King of King will come for His own. Those who have trusted in Jesus alone are those who He claims as His own.
He will rescue them and declare His right as King. In those days, even heaven itself will be shaken and there will be signs from heaven which have never been seen before. Knowing this, the faithful should be watching for their Master’s return so that they are not found sleeping when He makes his glorious return. Though the text does not say this, my impression is the Jesus’ image will fill the sky, and nobody will doubt anymore.
Daily Prayer: Father, we are living in times of tribulation even now. Without having a Rock in the person of Jesus, one would easily be led astray. You have given Your Word and we must study it and depend on it because the enemy also knows Your Word and tries to imitate it so that he may lure even the faithful astray. In Jesus name I pray Amen.
