Daniel 12: 1-2, 7 The Time of the End

"Now at that time Michael the great prince, who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occured since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone found in the written book, will be rescued. Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, some to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt." I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, as he raised his right hand and his left toward heaven and swore by him who lives forever that it would be for a time, times, and half a time; and as soon as they finished the events would be completed.

Michael is the archangel who protects Israel from the Evil One. In 1 Thessalonians 415-17, Paul agrees with this prophecy that the dead in Christ will be raised first, and those who remain will be taken up to Christ so that all of God's Children will be with him. Then suddenly for a time, times, and half a time - three and a half years, the anti-christ will break a covenant of peace leading to the return of Jesus Christ. However it will come upon us like a thief in the night.

Daily Prayer: It is good to know that for those who have received Jesus as Savior and Lord, they will not go through the period of the great tribulation. This is the period of grace for those who are in Christ. Come quickly Lord! Amen.
